One of the objectives of the Brooklyn Chapter is to assist youth in the Brooklyn community through chapter programs aimed at increasing academic success and educational opportunities.


At this time, The Brooklyn Chapter of Jack and Jill of America is offering a $5,000 incentive award ($1,250 annual award over four years) to African-American students, in need, maintaining good academic standing (B/3.0 average or better) now and while attending a four year college full-time.

The African-American student must be:

  • A graduating high school senior and a Brooklyn or Staten Island resident.
  • Must attend a Brooklyn or Staten Island High School.
  • Have financial need
  • Must also have applied for college admission.
  • Have and maintain academic performance of B/3.0 average or better in high school.
  • Demonstrated exemplary achievement in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership and Service in the community.
